My Story

I am an artist living in Greece, and oil painting has become an important part of my life. My work has grown from a genuine love of painting and a desire to create something of my own.

I found my own way into art rather than following a formal academic path. Over the years, I have developed my technique through constant practice, observation and experimentation. Working independently has given me the freedom to follow my instincts, choose the subjects that truly inspire me and develop my work in my own way.

Much of my inspiration comes from the places and nature around me. The Greek sea has always been especially important. I love its colours and movement, and how completely different it can look from one day to another. Sometimes it is peaceful and almost still. At other times it is powerful and dramatic. I can paint the sea again and again and always find something different in it.

There are three subjects that appear most often in my work: the sea and beaches of Greece, flowers and landscapes, and the monasteries of Mount Athos.

The sea gives me an endless variety of colours, light and movement. I am especially drawn to waves and the way water changes with the weather, the season and the time of day.

Flowers and landscapes bring something different to my work. I enjoy their colours, shapes and the small details that can make a simple scene beautiful. Sometimes the inspiration comes from a particular place, and sometimes from something as simple as a flower that catches my attention.

The monasteries of Mount Athos have a very different character. I am fascinated by their architecture, their remarkable surroundings and the history of these places. When I paint them, I try to capture the sense of peace and stillness that makes Mount Athos so distinctive.

These subjects may seem very different, but they are all things I genuinely enjoy painting. Sometimes it is a wave, sometimes a flower or a landscape, and sometimes the quiet presence of a monastery on Mount Athos. I don't try to force them into one style or one idea. I simply paint what inspires me.

Painting started as something personal and gradually became an essential part of my life. Today, each new canvas gives me another opportunity to explore the subjects I love and share the way I see them with others.
